NITSIG OVERVIEW
The NITSIG was created in 2014.
The mission of the NITSIG is to serve as a National Insider Threat
Information Sharing & Analysis Center.
The
NITSIG Membership (Free) is the largest network (1000+)
of Insider Threat Mitigation Professionals in the U.S. and globally.
The NITSIG provides it's members and other interested individuals with
the ability to collaborate and share information related to Insider
Threats, and also receive education and guidance for Insider Threat
Mitigation.
The NITSIG serves to be a conduit / central source for the collaboration
of Insider Threat Mitigation information. This has enabled the NITSIG to
build an Insider Threat Mitigation Common Body Of Knowledge / Resource
Center based of the real world and practical experiences from our
members that are Insider Threat Program Managers, Analysts or support
Insider Threat Programs. (Facility Security Officer, Chief Security
Officer (CSO), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Human
Resources, Chief Information Officer (CIO) - IT, Network Security,
Counterintelligence Investigators,
Mental Health / Behavioral Science Professionals Legal Etc.)
Our member’s willingness to share information has been the driving force
that has made the NITSIG very successful.
If your interested in learning more about how damaging a Malicious
Insider can be, the monthly
Insider Threat Incidents Reports produced by the NITSIG / Insider
Threat Defense Group are a great source of eye opening information.
